John Taylor, a leading sponsorship and marketing consultant over the past 25 years, has advised major brands such as, Avaya, AXA, Canon, Coca-Cola, Litttlewoods, npower and Vauxhall on sponsorship, advertising and brand profile investments.


He is a regular pundit on television and radio news programmes on sport and sponsorship topics and is frequently quoted in national newspapers.

He negotiated the first national sponsorships in football - the Canon League and the Milk Cup - in the early 80s and the first ever sponsorship of the England Cricket Team by Tetley's Bitter.


He also directed both Littlewoods and AXA's sponsorship of the FA Cup and created global sponsorship campaigns in football, Formula One and sailing.


He has been responsible for winning two prestigious awards - the Sport Industry Award for 'Best Sponsorship' (npower England Test Series) and the Hollis Sponsorship Award for 'Best Use of PR in a sponsorship' (FA Cup sponsored by AXA).


He has also negotiated sponsorships on behalf of sports federations including the FA, Football League, ECB, IRB, RFU, LTA and the Boat Race Company.


Previously he was a co-founder of Advantage International (now Octagon) and Sports Impact and a director of the Institute of Sports Sponsorship (ISS) and European Sponsorship Association (ESA).


John is a member of Royal Wimbledon Golf Club, MCC and the RAC and enjoys playing golf, tennis, the theatre and cinema.
